Nano europium oxide (Eu2O3)
Nano-europium oxide is mostly used in phosphors. Eu3+ is used as an activator for red phosphors and Eu2+ for blue phosphors. Recently, nano-europium oxide is also used in the stimulated phosphors of new X-ray medical diagnostic systems. Nano-europium oxide can also be used in the manufacture of colored lenses and optical filters for magnetic bubble storage devices. Using nano-yttrium oxide (Y2O3) and nano-europium oxide (Eu2O3) as raw materials to prepare fine particles of yttrium oxide europium (Y2O3: Eu3+) red phosphors, the preparation of rare earth tri-color phosphors found that: (a) can be well mixed with green powder, blue powder evenly; (b) good coating performance; (c) due to the small particle size of the red powder and the increase in the number of luminous particles compared with the surface, the amount of red powder in the rare earth tri-color phosphors can be reduced, resulting in a reduction in cost.
Nano terbium oxide (Tb4O7)
The main application fields are as follows: 1. Phosphor powder is used as the activator of green powder in tri-color phosphor powder, such as phosphate matrix activated by nano-terbium oxide, silicate matrix activated by nano-terbium oxide, and nano-cerium oxide magnesium aluminate matrix activated by nano-terbium oxide. 2, magneto-optical storage materials, in recent years in the research and development of nano-terbium oxide magneto-optical materials, using terbium oxide thin film developed by terb-fe magneto-optical disc as computer storage components, storage capacity can be increased by 10 to 15 times. Faraday optically polarized glass containing nano-terbium oxide is the key material for manufacturing rotators, isolators and toroidal devices widely used in laser technology. Nano-sized terbium oxide nano-sized dysprosium oxide, originally used primarily in sonar, is now used in a wide range of applications, from fuel injection systems, liquid valve control and micropositioning to mechanical actuators, mechanisms and wing regulators for aircraft space telescopes.
